I Have a New Look!

Thanks to my friend and sometimes partner in crime.. Tabby Butler... I have a new look on my blog.  If you like the look stay tuned to find out where I got this darling kit to use...hint hint.. hrhm... wonder where I got it?  Anyway I had a blast learning some new techniques on snazzing up my blog.  Hope you like what you see.  Now, If I can just get a new attitude to go along with my new look.  LOL ...No actually I am so thankful right now that we have finally had some rain, after a severe drought.  We are a farming family, and the drought has affected not only us, but many others in our area.  So we are thanking the Lord for the long awaited rain.  Have a blessed day... This is the Day That the Lord has Made!

Morning Glories!  I am not usually up so early in the am!  I have been neglecting my blogging buddies and for that I am sorry.  I have become so busy with designing that it has kinda over taken me!  I love it, but I have to take time for other things too.  We are in a serious drought here where we live, in south Texas and because my husband is a farmer... we need rain.  Would you join me in prayer for rain for our area?  We want to be smack dab in the center of Gods will and we know that He knows our needs, but His word says "We have not because we ask not, and when we ask, we ask amiss."  What are you needing?  Have you prayed about it and asked the Lord?  You know he cares about every aspect of you life, so don’t be shy in asking Him.  He knows anyway!  Well I just wanted to give you gals a shout.  Oh and there are some great changes in my Digiscrap Shops!  I have joined Scrapable and regretably, I resigned from Digital Paper Hearts.  I wish Janice Brasil all the best at Digital Paper Hearts.  But I think when you visit Scrapable I think you will see why I fell in love with that store, and that it is a perfect match for me.  Blessings and Grace!  His, Teri

To infinity and beyond.....

God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. Gen. 1:16 I love this kit by Scrapplies called Rocket Commander! Tiffany outdid her self with this one. It is jammed packed with all kinds of aliens and spaceships,even my 4 year old grandson wanted to look at it and asked me to scrap a layout with this kit! Now, that's got to be the youngest advertiser for this kit. You can get the kit at DigiShopScrap and check out her blog.. for some some freebies of these layouts! I loved these pictures of Nate that I took of him in his Power Ranger outfit. They were perfect for this kit. And I want Nate to know that he can truly follow his dreams and reach for the stars.

I kind of used some creativity here to incorporate how "scary" he was and I thought of this scripture. I think it was perfect! Now remember to go to Scrapplies and look for the QP's if you are interested!

New Blogwear! I'm in Love....

Ok, its official.... I have a new obsession. Well this is actually a double dose of obsession. It is Blogwear! When I first started with my blog, I wanted so much to be able to change the look and layout of it, like I had seen on some of the other blogs I visit. Well after one try at it, I was so overwhelmed that I havn't tried since then. But that was before my friend Shannon aka "Scrappy Shannon", at www.scrappyshannon.blogspot.com started desiging Blogwear. She is in the initial stages, but it is sure to be a sucesss like everything else she does! "Hugs and Kisses" to you, Shannon! Oh, and this is made with my Valentine kit called "He Loves Me!" I'm Up and Running!

I got my things up and going at Pretty Scrappy and I am so excited. I want to thank all the gals over there who helped me set up shop! I am going to show you a sneak peek of the kits I have created! And without further ado, here are my latest endeavors! Drum roll please! Ta Da.............

This is my very first kit "Holidays are Here" and I had so much fun making it. I love the little lights and the great colors of this kit. I hope you will like it too! It will always be special to me because it was my first one. I like the fact that even though it was designed for the Holidays, I made it with the thought that people could use it for non Holiday scrapping also! I will have a freebie real soon with this cute little kit! And moving on to the second kit....

This is my kit "Thankful Heart". It was with that theme in mind that I created it. I feel so blessed and thankful for all that the Lord has done for me and continues to do. I hope to share his blessings and grace with others through my designs. I would love to hear your feedback on what you think about my kits! And to let you see the quality of my work, here is a little sample just for you! A QP using my kit "Thankful Heart" Please let me see what you make with it!

Today is a Hard Day...."I'm gonna miss this...

I'm gonna want this back.... "  You know the song, right?.  I am having to put my little Yorkie "Brighton" to sleep.  It was a  hard decision and  even though I know its the right thing to do, its a hard thing too.  She has been with me thru a lot and has been a great buddy to me.  So, for all you animal lovers, say a little prayer for me.  Its going be a tough day.  I will post my calendar template later on this afternoon for all of you who are anxiously awaiting it.

Happy Belated Birthday to YOU Matt!!! Here is the "Shout Out" I promised"

Our middle son, had his 29 birthday on Sunday October the 12th.  How I can have kids that age is truly a miracle I have yet to comprehend?  How they are aging and I am not! *** LOL***  We had all made plans to meet in Austin for a little get-together that ended up not happening.  Well, we missed each other and played phone tag on his birthday, so I felt kinda bummed.  Maybe that's another reason I am not nominated for Mother of the year!  I should have, Matt, made more of an effort to get in touch with you!  BUT to my surprise,  He (Matt) said...well I checked your blog ( OH gosh, he is reading my blog!) and thought he would see a "shout out" to him for his B-Day.  Better late than never right?  My birthday wish for you is that you will "Grow in Wisdom and Grace", Matt, and that apart from Christ, that you will not ever be fully satisfied!   This is not the first time you have heard that right?   I remember the first time when you were in college and we told you that we were praying for you and Michael, that you would not be happy outside the will of God, and oh, how that did not go over well with you or Michael.  I still smile when I think of yalls conversation about that...calling each other and saying that you could not believe we were praying that!  Well, when you want the best for your kids what else can we want for you!  Oh, and that new truck you so badly need, I hope you will find the perfect one, at the perfect price and at Gods perfect time too!  We love you, Matt and have enjoyed watching you (finally) grow up (some) HA HA.  Well after all, I don't want to get a brand new, unrecognizable son.  You are the one, who has brought much laughter, fun and happiness to all of us and I love you and the young man you have become.  I think your beautiful new wife, Robyn, may have some part in that too!  Look forward to getting together soon!

MIA? No, just busy! Happy Mothers Day to all you Great Moms!

Well, I know it has been a few days since I have updated this blog, but I have been so busy. Maggi is home and that was a huge task, packiing and getting all her stuff out of her dorm and then unpacking and still working on getting things in there place. I am so thankful Tom went with me and helped haul all the stuff down the stairs and to our cars. He was a huge help! While we were there, we spent the night with Michael and Abbie and Nate, and that was great to see them and go to Nates soccer practice. I forgot to mention the disasters that proceeded us going....First, all those green beans i put up, spoiled. Over 5 gallons I had to throw away! What a dissapointment. Then my tiller quit running while I was trying to clean up the garden, then the worst, my computer messed up and I thought I lost ALL the scrapbooking I have done! Well I did get my computer up and running the next day, after a night of panic, and did not loose anything, and ALL is backed up now. I am usually good about backing up stuff, but dont know what I had not backed up the 100's of hours I had spent gathering scrapbooking stuff and all the pages I had made so far. A lesson learned for sure. Anyway, now I have been in bed, nauseated for the past day so thats why no new posts lately. I do have some pics and some things I want to share so check back soon! Happy Mothers Day to all you Moms! And on that note, be sure to be thankful if your mom is still with you. My mom has been gone for about 28 years, she died of breast cancer at just 47. She was an inspiration to me, and I look forword to eternity with her! But I do miss her alot here, even now. Just give your mom an extra hug, it will make me feel better!

Teri-ific Tuesday!

I have been busy here at the house...doing all the regular stuff..cleaning (yuck) but its nice when its done. Getting ready for our Phoebes garage sale this weekend. I just finished reading "The Sisterchicks do the Hula" and i enjoyed it alot. I am stuck on a series by Tracie Peterson (Heirs of Montana) ...i am on the book "The Hope Within" they are Christian historical fiction. Someone sent me an email...i cant remember who..about Laminin....http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=152b5103d741aca61093 it is so cool. I am not sure if this is the right way to do this but please watch this video. And for all you Oprah fans... Sorry if I make anyone mad...but this is VERY scary. I haven't watched her for several years.. kinda had an uneasy feeling about her beliefs. I will try to link something on her too! Oh...this is cool, still lots to learn.....and a garden to weed.
