Hello Again! Happy Holidays are a Commin!

It seems like forever since a last posted.  I have been super busy getting things set up at Pretty Scrappy.  And I am kinda getting the "feel" of things and how to get my products to the store.  It is a lot to learn.  I have a great kit there, called Holidays at Home.  I am giving this QP away to celebrate that kit!  I hope you can use it to show off your darling "ornaments" around your tree this year!  I will post Decembers Calendar tomorrow so check back!  And hope to look at the Proverbs 31 Woman too!  But for now, lets look at this little shining jewel!  Is she cute or what?

Going a Little Bugsy?

This is a cute kit from Jaydensmama called "Bugsy". This kit can be found at Pretty Scrappy.  Click either preview to go to the store.  I love the retro colors she used. I had some photos of my grandson and a nephews little boy from last week when I took them to the park and I think the colors and the kit just went together. This is a great chance to show how you can use a photograph that has some of the kits colors in it, but dont be afraid to try to add a color that is not present in the kit, see how the red just pops! Here are my newest layouts from Crafty Scraps.  I love the outdoor things she does!  This one, her fishing kit just was perfect for some photos I had of my husband and my grandson having a great time, digging for worms, and catching perch in the Medina river.  They had a great time and I loved the layout, after of course I had to change the poster to read something fmore appropriate for the occasion!  LOL.... Now, I am not saying who the "stinker" is!  But I think it could fit either one!  Hope you enjoy!  His, Teri

Want a Conundrum? Shabby Elegance!

This is a new kit from lbCreations called Shabby Elegance.  I liked the color choice and how she was able to incorporate a little shabby with the chic...so to speak.  On the first QP I thought of the word "Simple" or "Simply" right off the beginning so I went with "Simply..." because, number one, I love the alpha's that came with the kit and #2, I felt that you can add what ever message underneath the word simply.  In my case, I added memories....These were some pics of my family as I remember them growing up and I am in the process of scanning them, so they were fresh on my mind.

In the second layout, I wanted to use a little more Shabby look and I loved the glittered swirls.  I like the long frame that can be used to isolate just part of a picture to really showcase your photo.  Hope you can use these for something!  See how a kit can make 2 completely different pages?   Now, run on over to check out Babette's things  at http://lbcreations.blogspot.com/ or visit her at http://www.divinedigital.com/ to see all her great kits. 

A Little Birdie Told Me........#2...........

I guess this "Little Birdie" has been busy!  This is a layout I made it show off my grandkids!  As the layout confirms....they are the love of my life!  This is the second kit I have used with this theme in the title!  This is from Angels Wings & Things and I love the whimsical elements!  The colors are bright and cheery and I wanted to share it with you today!  Its a small kit but makes up for the size in its great colors and elements!  Hope you can use it to show off something special to you.......A Little Bridie Told Me...... you could!

Rustic Kit Must Mean Autumn is Here!

These have to be 2 of my very favorite layouts that I have ever made.  And I mean this wholeheartedly!  Tell me what you think?  They were both taken in Maine, the butterflies I took last year and the landscape, was taken on the second day of our trip there.  This kit from My Scrap Shop has to be on my list of tops too!  I love outdoor photography and nature, so this was a no brainier for me.  I hope you like the QP's and please go over to My Scrap Shop to see what other great kits they have there.  Remember you manners and say thanks.... Ok, this is right up my alley as far as colors and textures!  I love the rich look and feel of My Scrap Shops "Rustic Kit".   It has a natural feel about the whole kit, yet it combines rich, colors and textures to make it, in my opinion, one of the cutest kits out in the market today!  Be sure to go check out all the things at My Scrap Shop.  

 

Boys Will Be Boys

Here are 2 great QP's from Jaydensmama kit "Boys Will Be Boys"  It is a great kit and I loved creating these layouts and am thankful that she lets me share them with you.  Be sure to tell her thanks for her generosity and go check out her other great things at The Scraphead Store at http://www.scraphead.com/.  

 

This is her preview for the complete kit and as you can see it has some great papers and elements to use On the QP1, I blended two papers together to create a unique look and it gave me the desired color blend I was looking for.  Be sure to experiment with blending to make your layouts a little more interesting!  I also, extracted the blue star stickers from one of her papers so it gave me another element to work with!  Hope you can find the perfect pictures to go in this great QP. Oh, and by the way, I wanted to show you that just because A kit is geared toward a specific theme, in this case boys, don't let that limit your creativity to just that theme!   My precious little granddaughter looks great in this layout!

 

 

When I saw her WordArt that she included in this kit about attitude, I knew I had the perfect picture to put in this QP.  I used a paper she had and extracted the middle of the puzzle pieces to create a puzzle border for my photo!  See how easy it is to personalize your kits?  And as far as this QP goes, we all know someone or something that has a little attitude right?  Enjoy and have a great weekend!  Teri

We are going to this place today while we are here in Maine.  It is one of our favorite places to go visit while we are here!  And the Lobster at Shaw's on the bay...well its "wicked good"!

Its a Maine Thing

Who Doesn't Want to be in God's Presence?

I made this beautiful QP from LBCreations-Designs by Babette's great new kit "God's Presence. When I saw this, I knew immediately that I wanted to do a layout with these lovely ladies who had an enormous impact on my life. They each one helped to shape me into who I am today. My mom, is on the far right, and she was my hero. She lived life to the fullest and died, full of grace. My husbands grandmother is the one with the flowers ( my true inspiration for this layout ) and she was a strong woman, who knew what she wanted in life and got it. She was wise with business and bold in her beliefs. Grandma Mayo knew how to get what she wanted done. A real hard worker, loved gardening and we now live in her house. My husbands other grandmother is in the lilac. Now, she was a one of a kind lady. You talk about loving life! Nana did! She was game for anything and just lived everyday to its fullest potential. And last, is my grandmother on my mom's side in the small photo on the left. Jenny (she didn't want us to call her Grandmother...ha ha) was a woman full of grace and dignity. Had a keen fashion sense, and always presented herself in the best light. I spent many summers with her and loved every minute. I remember going to sleep at night with Johnny Carson on the TV and waking up to the black and white "noise" once the station had gone off air! She was a great grandmother... I hope you can use this to make a legacy QP of your own, but it can be used for so many things. This kit is HUGE so if you want a lot of "bang for your buck" go take a look at Babette's kit. I love the Christian themed papers and great elements too. Be sure to thank her for letting me share this QP with you. You know, these designers don't always let others use their kits to make QP for free, so please let her know you appreciate that. He is A Super Star...
